1st post, news on my next brews

Currently have 2 beers fermenting at the moment, first is an American Devil IPA which will be ready to bottle this Sunday, Aug. 3, and the second is the Pilothouse Pilsner which will be ready for bottling the following Sunday, Aug. 10. I'll update with pictures each Sunday I actually work on something.

Enough of what is fermenting right now, just wanted to show what is on deck. At the house I have 1 can of Whispering Wheat Weizenbier, 1 can Golden Wheat UME, and 2 cans Strawberries in Light Syrup all of which to make my Strawberry Blonde. I will begin this next batch this Sunday, Aug. 3 once I free up keg #1 from the American Devil IPA that's residing in it currently. Below is a write-up at mrbeer.com regarding the Strawberry Blonde.

Strawbeery Blonde
MAKES APPROX. 2 GALLONS OF BEER IN
ABOUT 3 WEEKS TIME.
Suggested lager time is 2 to 4 weeks.
Our version of this popular style has a smooth, sultry character that is at
once both sweet and tart. It possesses a pungent aroma and abundant berry
flavor. The strawberry sweetness is balanced by mellow hoppiness and crisp
wheat.

RECIPE INCLUDES:
1 Can Whispering Wheat Weizenbier
1 Can Golden Wheat UME
1 Packet Dry Brewing Yeast (under lid of beer mix)
2 Cans Strawberries in Light Syrup
1 Packet One-Step™ Sanitizing Cleanser

WARNING: Due to the large amount of fruit, your keg may
overflow or explode! You must maintain a proper fermentation temperatures to
prevent this problem. (See brewing instructions for details).

Due to the explosive nature of this concoction I will have to house the keg in a cooler to contain the mess should a disaster occur. Again, I'll upload pictures of the process this weekend.

Until then, happy drinking!
